Auto-Tune 4 for Mac OS X and PC can initially be authorized via iLok USB smart key or by Challenge/Response. However, to subsequently reauthorize your software or move the authorization from computer to computer, an iLok is required. For that reason, we strongly recommend iLok authorization.

If you choose iLok authorization, you must own a physical iLok USB
key (see picture). It cannot be another company's USB key, such
as the one that comes with Logic or Cubase. It must be the iLok brand
USB key (it has iLok etched on the back). An iLok USB key can be seen
to the right (although they can also come in other lovely colors).
If you have a Pro Tools TDM system, an M-audio M-Powered system, or
MOTU Mach Five, an iLok is included with these systems and can be used
to authorize AVOX and Auto-Tune 4 Native. If you purchased an iLok
separately for another plug-in, that can also be used.
If you need to purchase an iLok, they are available from many local
music stores as well online retailers such as www.audiomidi.com or
www.sweetwater.com.

If you don't have an iLok and prefer to authorize via
Challenge/Response, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
All reauthorizations of Auto-Tune 4 require an iLok. If you choose Challenge/Response now, you will still have to use an iLok if you ever have to reauthorize Auto-Tune 4 after a computer crash, computer hard drive, CPU, or motherboard change, operating system upgrade, or machine switch. We strongly advise that you choose the iLok option now, rather than having to do it later anyway.
Choose Challenge/Response Authorization Anyway
