7/5/07 With release of Harmony Engine rapidly approaching, we've posted the manual for download. Check it out to get a more detailed idea of what Harmony Engine is all about.

5/21/07 While all the Auto-Tune 5 reviews that have been appearing in the press these last few months have been universally glowing, we recently read one by Houston Haynes over at AudioMIDI.com that, while as glowing as usual, also described some very creative ways that Auto-Tune 5 helped Houston solve some real-world production problems. As the folks at audioMIDI have been kind enough to let us link to it, we encourage you to check it out here.

5/1/07 Maintenance releases of all versions of Auto-Tune 5 for Mac and PC are now available. These releases bring the features from the previous TDM and RTAS updates to all the other versions as well as add additional workflow enhancements to make your pitch correction process even easier.

Highlights of the new versions include:

Auto-Scrolling in Graphical Mode

We have added a control to enable and disable auto-scrolling when the host transport is running in Graphical Mode.

Increased Maximum Buffer Size

For ease of working in large projects, the maximum buffer size for tracking in Graphical Mode has been increased from 999 seconds to 7200 seconds (i.e., 2 hours).

Set Option Defaults

We have added the ability to set your preferred Options dialog parameter values as the default settings for new instances of Auto-Tune 5.

Improved Curve/Line Selection

The ease with which near-vertical pitch correction lines and curves can be selected for editing has been improved.

Scroll Wheel Support

For ease of navigation, if your mouse includes a scroll wheel and your host passes it to plug-ins, it is now recognized in Graphical Mode.

Bypass "Clear All" Warning

Tired of being asked if you really mean it? In Graphical Mode, the Clear All function warning dialog can be bypassed by pressing a modifier key (host dependent) while clicking the Clear All button.

Faster Instantiation

Time is money. Auto-Tune 5 will now instantiate faster on some hosts.

These are free updates for all Auto-Tune 5 owners. So if you haven't yet upgraded, now would be a great time to move up to the undisputed pitch correction leader.

4/26/07 Our friends at Grooveboxmusic.com have produced a superb collection of training videos that cover virtually all aspects of getting the most out of the power of Auto-Tune 5. 4/16/07 Maintenance releases of the AVOX bundle and individual AVOX plug-ins are now available. These releases resolve a few host compatibility issues and provide faster plug-in instantiation in some hosts.

These are free updates for current AVOX, AVOX AT and individual AVOX plug-in owners. Get them here. (If you are an AVOX AT owner, you need only download the appropriate AVOX bundle.)

12/11/06 We have released Auto-Tune 5 for TDM for PC. Please see the news item below for demo and upgrade information. Boxed copies of Auto-Tune 5 TDM should be arriving at your local Antares dealer shortly.

12/11/06 Maintenance releases of Auto-Tune 5 TDM Mac and RTAS (Mac and PC) are now available. These releases squash a couple of minor bugs and add the ability to toggle auto-scrolling on and off in Graphical Mode. These are free updates for current Auto-Tune 5 owners. (Equivalent releases for VST and AU will be coming in the not-too-distant future.)

11/27/06 We have released Auto-Tune 5 for RTAS and VST for PC. Please see the news item below for demo and upgrade information.

11/16/06 Auto-Tune 5, the next generation of the worldwide standard in professional pitch correction, is now available for TDM, RTAS, VST and AU for Mac OS X.

Building on the great sound quality, transparent processing and ease of use that have always distinguished Auto-Tune, Auto-Tune 5 adds even better pitch detection, a sleek new user interface, and a host of new features and productivity enhancements that make it even easier to get the seamless, natural results Auto-Tune has always been known for.

Auto-Tune 5 is available now for Mac OS X (Universal Binaries). The PC versions will be available shortly. Boxed copies will be available at your local Antares dealer later this month. Check back often for updates.

Upgrades are available for registered Auto-Tune users. To upgrade, head on over to the Antares Software Upgrade page and follow the directions there.

6/20/06 AVOX has been nominated for the 2006 TEC (Technical Excellence and Creativity) Award in the category of Outstanding Technical Achievement in Signal Processing Software. This is Antares's eighth nomination in eight years.

The TEC Awards were established by MIX magazine in 1985 to honor outstanding achievement in the professional recording and sound production industry. They are currently administered by the Mix Foundation for Audio Excellence. The nominees are selected by a panel of approximately 200 audio industry professionals. The award winners are selected by a vote of Mix Magazine readers and will be announced at the 2006 AES Conference in San Francisco.

5/10/06 We have released a maintenance update to the Auto-Tune TDM Production Suite. The update features a new version of Microphone Modeler TDM that plays nice with Pro Tools 7 along with some other minor tweaks.

This release is a free update for all current Production Suite owners. Download it here.

Please Note: This download is intended for Production Suite owners only. If you are not a Production Suite owner, installing this software can seriously mess up other Antares plug-in authorizations on your computer. Don't do it.

4/12/06 With AVOX and Auto-Tune 4 being a natural combination for anyone producing vocals, we are pleased to announce AVOX AT and AVOX AT TDM. These bundles of AVOX and Auto-Tune 4 Native or TDM are available exclusively from Antares dealers and represent meaningful savings over the prices of AVOX and Auto-Tune 4 purchased separately.

3/29/06 We have released Microphone Modeler for Audio Units and VST OSX. And since it's been such a long wait, we've decided to make them free upgrades for owners of equivalent versions. To take advantage of the free upgrade, have your Microphone Modeler serial number or registration code in hand and head on over to our Software Upgrade page. You will be guided through the upgrade process.

Please note: the free upgrades are for equivalent versions (i.e., any Native version to any other Native version or TDM to TDM). The upgrade from Native to TDM still costs.

12/15/05 The good folks over at AudioMIDI.com have produced a podcast featuring our own Dr. Andy talking about how his experience in the geophysical industry contributed to his development of our groundbreaking plug-ins. 9/27/05 You can now purchase individual AVOX plug-ins from our online store. 11/8/04 NPR's Morning Edition today featured a story in their "Where Science Meets Art" series that reports on the use of pitch correction software in music production. Hosted by NPR's David Kestenbaum (and featuring NPR's own Renee Montagne providing a memorable interpretation of "Ain't No Sunshine"), the story focuses on Auto-Tune as the professional pitch correction tool of choice in both pop and classical music production. In addition to an on-air demo of Auto-Tune, the story features an interview with our own Dr. Andy Hildebrand.

9/12/03 We have announced the imminent release of the Antares Filter - Quad Rhythmic Multimode Filters

Filter is a multi-format plug-in that gives you everything you need to harmonically sculpt your tracks with surgical precision or animate them with a limitless variety of tempo-synced timbral variations.

Filter starts with four true stereo multimode filters that provide all the warmth and smoothness you'd expect from a meticulous model of classic analog filters. Add four individual delay lines, flexible routing options, powerful modulation capabilities, full MIDI control, two programmable rhythm generators and the ability to lock every time-based parameter to Filter's master tempo or external MIDI clock, and you have a tool that will allow you to create tracks (or entire mixes) that pulse with life and character.

Filter will be available around mid October for Mac RTAS (OS 9 and OS X), Mac VST (OS 9 and OS X), and MAS (OS 9 and OS X). PC RTAS, PC VST and DirectX versions will follow very shortly.

06/25/03 Antares Tube has been nominated for the 2003 TEC (Technical Excellence and Creativity) Award in the category of Outstanding Technical Achievement in Signal Processing Software. This is Antares fourth nomination in four years.

5/27/03 We've added some great new deep-house from Jules Bromley to our kantos 1.0 product page. Featuring kantosized vocals by Stephanne Moraille (the voice of Bran Van 3000's "Drinkin' in LA"), it also features synth loops created in their entirety by running the track's drum/percussion parts through kantos 1.0.

4/25/03 We've released kantos 1.0 RTAS and VST for OS X. The RTAS version requires Pro Tools 6 TDM or LE and Mac OS 10.2.3 or later. The VST version requires an OS X compatible host application that supports the VST plug-in architecture and version of OS X as required by your host.

4/25/03 - We've released Auto-Tune 3 VST for Mac OS X. Upgrades from previous versions of Auto-Tune VST are available as follows:

4/4/03 We've released Tube RTAS and VST for OS X. The RTAS version requires Pro Tools 6 TDM or LE and Mac OS 10.2.3 or later. The VST version requires an OS X compatible host application that supports the VST plug-in architecture and version of OS X as required by your host. Tube RTAS and VST for OS X are free upgrades to current owners of Tube.

3/24/03 Pro Tools|HD compatible versions of Antares Microphone Modeler TDM and RTAS for Mac OS 9 and OS X are now available. The new versions, which support 88.2 kHz and 96kHz sampling rates on Pro Tools|HD systems, are available as upgrades to registered owners of earlier versions of Mic Modeler TDM or RTAS.

4/12/02 Auto-Tune 3 TDM v.3.1 which is compatible with Pro Tools|HD is now available. The new version, which supports 88.2 kHz and 96kHz sampling rates on Pro Tools|HD systems, will be available as a $99.00 upgrade to registered owners of earlier versions of Auto-Tune 3. Customers who have purchased Auto-Tune 3 TDM on or after December 15, 2001 will be entitled to a free upgrade. Registered owners of any pre-Auto-Tune 3 version of Auto-Tune TDM can upgrade to the latest version for $149.00.

12/3/01 Auto-Tune 3 has won the TEC (Technical Excellence and Creativity) Award in the category of Outstanding Technical Achievement in SignalProcessing Software. The Award was announced at the TEC Awards ceremony on Saturday evening, December 1 at the AES Conference in New York City. The TEC Awards were established by MIX magazine in 1985 to honor outstanding achievement in the professional recording and sound production industry. They are currently administered by the Mix Foundation for Audio Excellence. The nominees are selected by a panel of approximately 200 audio industry professionals. The award winners are selected by a vote of Mix Magazine readers.

11/1/00 The ATR-1a Auto-Tune Intonation Processor is now shipping. Based on the same core technology as the Auto-Tune plug-in and the 1999 TEC Award-nominated ATR-1, the ATR-1a adds key new features which include a new Bass Mode (for correcting the pitch of low bass range instruments) and the innovative Make Scale From MIDI function which allows the ATR-1a to automatically create a custom target scale for any melody.

9/22/00 Antares has entered into a development partnership with TASCAM to bring our microphone and speaker modeling technology to Tascam's DM-24 Mixing Console. Both technologies will be included as standard features in TASCAM's upcoming product.

7/1/00 The AMM-1 rack-mount microphone modeler is now shipping. The AMM-1 provides all of the functionality of the Microphone Modeler plug-in in an easy-to-use 1U package. The AMM-1 ships with over 100 mic models stored in ROM. To ensure that the AMM-1 always remains up-to-date with the state of the microphone art, new mic models can be downloaded from the Antares web site and loaded via MIDI into the AMM-1's internal flash memory. The AMM-1 also provides balanced analog and AES/EBU digital I/O, and 56 bit internal processing.

9/7/99 Dr. Andy is honored by the Society of Exploration Geophysicists. Antares's founder and chief scientist has been selected by the Society of Exploration Geophysicists to receive the Society's Enterprise Award for his breakthrough work in the development of the geophysical industry's first stand-alone seismic data interpretation workstation.

According to Brian Russell, President of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, the award is in recognition of Dr. Hildebrand's "courage, ingenuity and achievement in founding Landmark Graphics, which revolutionized the manner in which seismic data are interpreted."

5/9/99 Antares has entered into a software partnership with Mackie Designs to bring Auto-Tune™ real time pitch correction technology to Mackie's Digital 8-Bus mixing console. The Antares/Mackie partnership will result in a version of Auto-Tune that will run on the Mackie Digital 8-Bus console utilizing the DSP power of Mackie's UFX effects processing cards. Auto-Tune may be assigned to any D8B channel, with the number of simultaneous channels of Auto-Tune limited only by the number of UFX cards installed in the D8B card cage.
